Our Ballet and Dance School, Orpington, Kent

"Steps ahead of the rest"

Established in September 2009, The Georgina Weston Dance Academy caters for students of all ages, from Pre-school to Advanced level training. Led by our Principal Georgina Weston, we have a strong team of caring teachers, who are highly skilled, motivated and most of all passionate about their work ensuring we deliver the highest standard of dance teaching.

We have a realistic approach to dance and the performance world catering for all types of student. From a child with an interest in dance on a fun and social level to the student that’s looking to excel and form a future career in this field.

The Georgina Weston Dance Academy has in recent years built on the success of the Orpington school and now includes The Chiswick Dance and Ballet School (est.2011) as well as a flourishing after school ballet programme at Bromley High School (est.2015). We also offer after school classes at several local Primary schools including Breaside Preparatory, Crofton infants and Tubbenden Primary.

We have a growing alumni of graduates from the GWDA. In recent years students have continued to develop their passion for dance, some performing annually with the English Youth Ballet as well as other establishments and companies:

‘White Lodge’ at The Royal Ballet School (Daniel Peters 2012)

Royal Academy of Dance (Mia Carruthers 2015)

Sound of Music Tour 2015/16 (Grace Maltman)

We pride ourselves on the caring, friendly nature that the school offers whilst still maintaining high Royal Academy of Dance exam results. The training you will receive from us will be delivered in a caring, approachable manner with a balanced teacher / student relationship. We aspire to get the best out of each and every one of our students treating their individual needs and developing them accordingly.

The dance school offers a popular Dance Summer School which runs in the second week of August in addition to our Christmas Dance Workshop and is thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Our students of all ages and disciplines come together to put on a dance show at Bromley High’s theatre every 4th term- a fantastic opportunity for the students to put their hard work, training and technique into the performing environment.
